Watch Program

----- The Houlton
Police Department (HPD) has a very active Neighborhood Watch
Program. This is an excellent program where the
neighbors watch out for one another and report any suspicious
activity to the HPD.
-----Some of us remember when
this was just the natural way to protect one another. If
they had seen something that was out of place, suspicious,
or just seemed unnatural in their neighborhoods, they would
inform someone to come and check on it. The Neighborhood
Watch Program is not
any different from what used to come naturally to the
citizens, which was to watch over one another.

Program is just one of the ways that the HPD shows their
dedication to the Community by working with the citizens
of the community to reduce crime and maintain the safe,
small town atmosphere of Houlton, Maine. |
