The Town of Houlton is seeking experienced applicants for a full time Public Safety Dispatch position.
Qualified
applicants will be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma
or G.E.D. equivalent, be of good physical health, be able to perform
the essential job functions of a public safety dispatcher, and be able
to work rotating shifts, including overtime. A job description is available upon request. Applicants cannot have a felony criminal record or an extensive motor vehicle violation history. Final candidates will undergo an extensive background investigation, polygraph examination, and drug screening. Starting
wage will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Town
of Houlton provides an excellent benefits package for the full-time
position.

Houlton Police Department is
currently accepting applications for a Reserve Police Officer positions.
Applicant must possess a law enforcement pre-service certificate from
the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. BLETP graduates are encouraged to
apply. Applicants must also hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s
license, a high school diploma or a GED equivalent.
Applicant must have no criminal convictions or extensive motor vehicle
violation history. Final applicant will undergo an extensive background
investigation, polygraph exam, and drug screening.
