The Houlton Police Department is currently accepting applications for a Reserve Police Officer positions.

Applicant must possess a law enforcement pre-service certificate from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. BLETP graduates are encouraged to apply. Applicants must also hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license, a high school diploma or a GED equivalent.

Applicant must have no criminal convictions or extensive motor vehicle violation history. Final applicant will undergo an extensive background investigation, polygraph exam, and drug screening.

Title:  Part Time Public Safety Dispatcher

The Town of Houlton is seeking applicants for part time Public Safety Dispatcher positions. Applicants shall be at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or G.E.D., must be of good physical health and be able to work rotating shifts with overtime. A job description is available upon request. Applicant cannot have a felony criminal record or extensive motor vehicle violation history. Final candidate will undergo an extensive background investigation, polygraph examination and drug screening. Stating salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
