Citizen Police Academy
The Houlton Police Department is offering a Citizen Police Academy beginning March 10, 2011. Classes will meet on Thursday evenings for ten consecutive weeks at the Houlton Police Department, 97 Military Street, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The academy is free and open to all Houlton residents and persons employed in Houlton that are 18 years of age or older. Ages 16 and 17 may attend if permitted by parents or guardians, or accompanied by an adult.
All application must be received by March 9, 2011

1st Citizen Police Academy graduation

The purpose and mission of the Citizen Police Academy is to foster better understanding between citizens and police through education. The Academy will promote better understanding to the attendees so that they may possess greater insight into police practices and the services that we provide. Graduates of the Academy can share their knowledge and experiences with the community as the opportunity arises.
